Mention Paradise Chinese Restaurant, The Hot Shot, or The Silver Dollar and folks of a certain age (including yours truly) can wax eloquent on southern-fried chicken at the Paradise or after-the-bars-closed biscuits and gravy breakfasts at the Hot Shot.
